People often wonder what Our Lady of Guadalupe has to do with anyone who isn’t in or from Mexico.
In truth, she is the patroness of all the Americas. To know her story is to know that she brought together disparate cultures – the Spanish Catholics and Aztecs – that seemed to be so diametrically opposed that no one could image how they could ever come together. Our Lady of Guadalupe brought about the largest conversion event in recorded history, nearly nine million people were baptized Catholic Christians in less than a decade. Surely when we are speaking of the re-evangelization of a people, such an example should be considered relevant. Further, Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the unborn and a loving but powerful figure in fighting against secularism and the culture of death – both of which have grown exponentially over the last few decades.
Guadalupe Missions
Our missionary work is inspired by the Beatitudes as well as the example and guidance of Our Lady, serving the poorest and most neglected individuals and communities.
Guadalupe Missions’ purpose is to evangelize by sharing the love of Christ through the gift of His mother Mary – meeting both worldly & spiritual needs. In our talks and retreats we unpack the treasury of symbolism and depth seen in the image itself as well as the rich historical, scientific, and theological significance of a miraculous image that resulted in the largest conversion in recorded history.

La gente a menudo se pregunta qué tiene que ver Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe con alguien que no está en México o no es de allí. En verdad, ella es la patrona de todas las Américas. Nuestro trabajo misionero se inspira en las Bienaventuranzas así como en el ejemplo y la guía de Nuestra Señora, sirviendo a las personas y comunidades más pobres y marginadas.
El propósito de Misiones Guadalupe es evangelizar compartiendo el amor de Cristo a través del regalo de Su madre María, atendiendo tanto las necesidades mundanas como las espirituales. En nuestras charlas y retiros desciframos el tesoro de simbolismo y profundidad presente en la propia imagen, así como la rica significación histórica, científica y teológica de una imagen milagrosa que resultó en la mayor conversión registrada en la historia.
